EKU Ties for 4th Place at the Central States Regional Ethics Bowl

EKU Ethics Bowl Team

Eastern Kentucky University tied for 4th place among the thirteen schools that competed at the 14th Annual Central States Regional Ethics Bowl at Marian University on Saturday, November 3, 2012. Included among the schools that EKU outscored were Indiana University, Xavier University, The College of Mount St. Joseph, and Wright State University.

Dr. Pianalto's Essay on Courage Wins International Competition

Matthew Pianalto

Matthew Pianalto, an assistant professor in the EKU Department of Philosophy & Religion, has authored the winning entry in the Robert Papazian Annual Essay Prize on Themes from Ethics and Political Philosophy. The prize (€1500) is established in memory of a young man executed for his ideas and political ideals.

EKU Team Finishes 10th out of 22 Teams at Regional Ethics Bowl

Competing in the Central States Regional Ethics Bowl in Indianapolis for the first time on Saturday, Nov. 12, a newly formed student team from Eastern Kentucky University finished 10th among 22 teams from 19 schools.
