EKU Ties for 4th Place at the Central States Regional Ethics Bowl
Eastern Kentucky University tied for 4th place among the thirteen schools that competed at the 14th Annual Central States Regional Ethics Bowl at Marian University on Saturday, November 3, 2012. Included among the schools that EKU outscored were Indiana University, Xavier University, The College of Mount St. Joseph, and Wright State University. The champion was Taylor University.
EKU sent two teams to the Central States Regional Ethics Bowl this year. Eastern Kentucky University Team I members were: Alan Branham, Team Captain (Philosophy); Grant Stringer (Humanities); and, Jonathan Wheeler (Emergency Medical Sciences). Eastern Kentucky University Team II members were: Micah Wyatt, Team Captain (Philosophy, Psychology); Wade Combs (Math Education); Vanessa Martinez (Health Sciences); and Cory Nolan (Philosophy). The teams were sponsored by EKU’s Department of Philosophy and Religion.
The Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl, sponsored by the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics, is a two-tiered team competition that combines the fun of a tournament with an innovative approach to ethics education for undergraduate students.
