What class are you teaching during the summer session?
PHI 101 Logic and Critical Reasoning
What feature would you like to highlight about this particular class?
PHI 101 Logic and Critical Reasoning teaches logical concepts, skills, and techniques for identifying, analyzing, evaluating, and constructing arguments in everyday language as well as within two of the more elementary formal logical systems.
Why would you recommend that students take this summer course?
PHI 101 Logic and Critical Reasoning fulfills the EKU General Education requirement for Element 2 Quantitative Reasoning. This course is especially appropriate for students who find conventional math courses challenging. In this summer course, students can complete the General Education Element 2 requirement in six weeks.
What is your favorite seasonal activity to participate in during the summer?
My favorite summer activity is swimming and sunbathing. I also enjoy boating and riding my bike.
